Pray A to Z: Practical Guide to Pray for Your Community (Worthy, November 2016)
Change the world one prayer at a time.
How would our community change if instead of absently saying, “I’ll pray for you,” we actually did pray–deeply, intensely, and purposefully?
Pray A to Z: A Practical Guide to Praying for Your Community will help you topically organize your prayer requests and lay the burdens of your community at the feet of our Heavenly Father.
With compassion and encouragement, Amelia Rhodes offers Bible verses and prayer prompts, organized topically for every letter of the alphabet. There are five topics per letter–three prayers of petition asking God to work in a certain area of need, and two more prayers of praise to reflect gratitude for God’s presence in the daily issues and relationships of life. Through petition and praise, your specific, focused communion with God will lighten your heart as you place the heaviness of those prayer requests where they belong–on His strong shoulders.
Whether you are praying for a friend’s adoption journey, a neighbor’s bankruptcy, or a family member’s cancer, this book will give you Bible verses, prayer prompts, and prayer starts to guide you through praying for even the most difficult issues that affect the people you know and love. Perfect for either individual or group prayer, Pray A to Z will help you experience the peace that comes from communicating with God.

My Review:

I could not wait to get this book because like many christian's, I LOVE TO PRAY! I love the idea of having a book that goes from A-Z directing you through prayers. You will learn ways to pray for people in your community, your neighbors, church family, or even a stranger. Each Letter in the alphabet has a word like Hope and will have a prayer with it to help you pray for hope, or the word pain will have a prayer you can pray for someone who is in pain be it lost a loved one or health wise. You will even find Praise words like MERCY, and righteousness that have prayers along with them. I think this book is a great book to have so you can teach your children how to pray for others, and I fantastic way to spend time together as a family, or even as a small group in your church.

Example:
Bullying
Joshua 1:9
Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.”

Pray for children who live in the fear and torment caused by bullying behavior. Pray for teachers and parents to find solutions, and for the hearts of children with intimidating and mean behavior to be changed.

Father, devastating stories resulting from bullying behavior often fill the news and bring such heartbreak. I ask for your courage and strength for teachers, counselors, parents, and students as they confront this behavior. Provide wisdom as the support and care for the targeted children. May those who live in the fear and shadow of bullying behavior know the presence of your love, and know you are with them wherever they go. Help them experience your protection and see how valuable their lives are. Equip them to speak up against the aggression by the power of your spirit. Enable them to reach out to trusted adults and give those adults wisdom to act on their behalf. I pray you will change the hearts of those with aggressive behavior. Give them Compassion. Heal their hurts and redeem their stories. Heal our communities, and teach us how to love even the most difficult people with your love, AMEN.

I received this material FREE in exchange I offer my honest opinion of the material I have received.
