The 10 Myths of Teen Dating: Truths Your Daughter Needs to Know to Date Smart, Avoid Disaster, and Protect Her Future (David C Cook, September 2016)
There’s no greater moment of panic in a parent’s life than when their daughter begins to date.
Due to their lack of knowledge about the world their teens face coupled with the scant dating information they received as teens, many parents feel ill-equipped to guide their daughters through the minefield that is teen dating.
And by the same token, teenage girls crave information about dating and relationships. And left to their own devices, many will develop their own assumptions about dating by talking to their friends or watching the latest TV shows and movies. But that will only lead them down a path toward heartbreak.
So how do you engage your daughter in discussions about dating, relationships, and her future happiness? Expert educator Daniel Anderson and his twenty something daughter, Jacquelyn, help you navigate the biggest dating myths, including: the myth that a boyfriend will make your daughter happy, that she should trust her feelings, or that sex will enhance her relationship. Combining the latest scientific research with poignant personal stories, as well as proven truths and practical application, The 10 Myths of Teen Datingwill equip you to teach your daughter how to date smart for today . . . and tomorrow.

MY REVIEW:
✮✮✮✮
I am so glad I got to review this book, I have two little girls 8 and soon to be 11. All you parents out there who have children 10 and older you should so purchase this very education book on DATING. With 245 pages, 12 pages are NOTES ( my all time favorite part of the book),3 pages are conclusions, leaving you with 235 pages of MYTHS, and TRUTHS to protect your daughters from disaster and protect her future. I want to share what i thought to be a great chapter, Dating Myth #3 I'M IN LOVE. I think we can all relate to this, the YOUNG love, the feeling I remember was so intoxicating as a teen. WIRED TO LOVE, I love love love this " From the time girls are born, they are wired for emotional intimacy".  When teen girls have a crush, or start to date their Brains are filled with Dopamine and Oxytocin and that is what gives girls that HIGH feeling like they are on cloud nine and can not stop talking about their crush or boyfriend. I learned something I DID NOT know in this chapter, because boys are more socially AWKWARD than girls are they are prone to Autism spectrum disorder.WOW..just WOW I did not know that, did you?? I did know however girls are better than boys when it comes to hearing emotional tones and responding to emotional cues. I did NOT know that us girls ( females) watch facial reaction, vocal tones, and unspoken language of EMOTIONS. Females are CRITICALLY WIRED for love, where men not so much. This chapter will also show you MEN just are not capable to love like a females loves, and this can be HARMFUL in relationships. I really do love this book and plan on handing it to my husband to read as well so we are BOTH prepared for  DUM DUM DUM  DATING! Thank you for reading my review, you can find this book at AMAZON.

I have received this amazing book for FREE in exchange I offer my honest opinions .
